How Horasat calculates and writes
Horasat Thai is a self-reflection and entertainment service that brings the Thai birth-weekday tradition into today’s questions and conversations. Here’s what the free result and the personal Atlas each calculate, and how the copy on screen gets written.
Read your star story alongside your own experience
In your free result, you can read the symbols tied to your birth weekday along with stories about temperament, relationships, work, and rest — and notice where they match or diverge from your own life. You can pass your result to a friend, or each pick the answer that fits and start a conversation from there. This isn’t a service that decides your personality or your relationship’s future from a star name.
The free result calculates your birth weekday
We use the local date and time from your birth record, for any date from 1900 to today on the solar calendar. Anything before 6 a.m. is sorted into the previous day’s category; 6:00 a.m. to 5:59 p.m. Wednesday is Wednesday Day, and 6:00 p.m. Wednesday to 5:59 a.m. Thursday is Wednesday Night. This uses fixed clock times — we don’t calculate actual sunrise, sunset, or celestial positions at birth.
Without a birth time, we show every possible category
We never fill in noon as a guess or pick whichever result sounds best. Wednesday could mean Tuesday, Wednesday Day, or Wednesday Night; Thursday could mean Wednesday Night or Thursday; and other days can also split in two because of the early-morning boundary. Feeling like a reading fits you isn't evidence of your actual birth time.
The paid Atlas calculates celestial positions at the moment of birth
We convert your birth date and time to UTC using the time zone of the city you choose, then use that city’s coordinates to calculate the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the mean North Node, and the Ascendant. We use the mean Lahiri sidereal zodiac and Whole Sign houses, and the calculation engine and version are shown on your purchased report. This is a separate calculation from the free weekday result, and it requires a birth time and a supported city.
Traditional source material and Horasat’s own writing are kept separate
The birth weekday, Taksa placements, and traditional Atlas terminology are summarized directly from source material. The friendly star names, the stories about temperament, relationships, work, and rest, and the reflection questions and suggested actions are written and edited by Horasat Thai. We keep calculated values and original writing distinct, and we never turn traditional terms into literal predictions about health, death, wealth, or relationships. Your own experience may differ from the same result, and that difference isn’t treated as a wrong answer.
Example: what to do when a reply is slow to come
A read receipt with no reply doesn’t tell you what’s in someone’s mind. Horasat’s guide helps you first sort out whether you’re waiting on a quick check-in, a longer conversation, or a decision that needs to happen today. In the conversation exercise, both people pick whichever fits — a brief confirmation, room for a full conversation, or flagging something urgent — and agree on one thing to keep in mind for next time. None of this means your birth star has read the other person’s mind; it’s a conversation exercise Horasat built.
